A woman from Mebane was arrested for heroin possession this week after a sheriff’s deputy pulled her over for a minor traffic violation on the outskirts of Graham.
According to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff, Stania Wolfe Payne was taken into custody on Monday after she was stopped for unsafe movement along NC 87.
A 41-year-old white female of 5323 North NC 119 in Mebane, Payne was charged with the felonious possession of heroin and the misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after a drug-sniffing dog detected the contraband during the traffic stop.
Payne has been placed under a $1,000 bond since her arrest.
