Details were few and unclear regarding a Saturday afternoon shooting in the 700 block of White Street, off East Parker Street in northern Graham.
Graham police reported responding at 4:41 p.m. regarding what had been reported as an accidental shooting.
A 21-year-old male victim was taken by EMS to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. The extent of the victim’s injury was not described.
Police had not released any additional information, except to say that an investigation is ongoing.
TUESDAY, JULY 5 UPDATE:
A Tuesday, July 5 update from the Graham police indicates that “the victim has undergone treatment and is in stable condition.”
The police statement also says police “are still looking into the details leading up to the shooting incident.”
