Deputies arrest Whitsett man for supplying heroin to Oct. overdose victim

A man from Whitsett has been arrested for allegedly providing heroin to another individual who died of a drug overdose in October.

Michael Monroe Patton II was ultimately taken into custody on January 27 after the office of Alamance County’s sheriff connected him to the fatal overdose, which occurred along Swepsonvile-Saxapahaw Road on October 1.

According to the sheriff’s office, the 42-year-old white male, who hails from 507 NC 61 Whitsett, is accused of one felony count of selling or delivering heroin. Patton has been placed under a $60,000 secured bond since his arrest.
