A former Burlington resident has found himself back in Alamance County to face some additional charges in a child sexual abuse case that the local sheriff’s office filed two years ago.
Dallas James Queen was arrested on Thursday at his new home in Pender County after the office of Alamance County’s sheriff lodged two, new felony-level charges against him for statutory sex offense.
According to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff, these new charges stem from an as-yet-unresolved case that was originally brought against Queen in February of 2021. At the time, the Burlington resident was accused of two counts of indecent liberties and released to await trial after he posted a $20,000 bond.
The 52-year-old white male who presently resides at 715 Conch Street in Hampstead has now been placed under a $1 million bond while he awaits transfer to Alamance County.
