Mrs. Jeanette Zimmerman Newlin, 93, of Haw River died Saturday, July 13, 2024 at home.
She was the wife of the late Thomas Vernon Newlin, Sr. and the daughter of the late Bertha and Millis Zimmerman. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Linda Parker (Elton) of Raleigh; son, Mr. Thomas Vernon Newlin, Jr. (Margaret) of Greensboro; a sister, Mrs. Clara Clayton (Coy); a granddaughter, Mrs. Jeanette Stephens (Vince); and a grandson, Mr. Lester Parker (Treanna). Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, Kallam and Rhett Stephens, and Hattie, Redin, and Stanton Parker.
A service of witness to the resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 508 West Davis Street, Burlington, NC with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church (music fund or Chester B. Alexander garden); AuthoraCare; or a charity of choice.
