The city of Burlington has announced the selection of Paige Shepard as Burlington’s next Downtown Manager.
Shepard steps into this role after two years of service in City Administration as Burlington’s Deputy City Clerk. Prior to that she served as a Lead for North Carolina Fellow in the Burlington City Manager’s Office.
She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and is currently a Masters of Public Administration candidate at UNC-Wilmington.
Housed in the Economic Development Department, Burlington’s Downtown Manager is tasked with various downtown development-related activities, project and event management, providing staff support for the 501(c)(3) Burlington Downtown Corporation, and coordinating communications and support services for Burlington’s downtown businesses, property owners, and visitors.
