Former Williams quarterback Jaelan Brown suffered a season-ending injury last month after beginning the season as Guilford College’s starting quarterback.
Brown, a sophomore, helped the Quakers in victories against host Greensboro College and visiting Methodist in the first two games of the season. He sustained a broken collarbone in the Methodist game.
Across the two games, Brown completed 19 of 26 passes for 239 yards with two touchdown throws and an interception.
The Quakers are 2-4 with a three-game losing streak, with two setbacks by shutouts before Saturday’s 40-23 home loss to Washington & Lee.
Brown played five games as a Guilford College freshman, throwing for 215 yards with three interceptions.
For Williams, Brown was the 2022 Offensive Player of the Year in the Central 3-A Conference.
Former Western Alamance player Jackson Miles is Guilford’s starting right guard.
