David Benson, 71, of Graham, NC passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at the residence of his daughter in Burlington, NC.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Charles Benson and LaRue Starr Benson, both deceased. He worked for Burlington Industries for many years and retired from the University of North Carolina in Facility Services Maintenance. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and animal lover. David was a wonderful cook and shared many meals with his family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Starr John (Christopher) and Clare Stone (Bryan); three grandchildren, Peyton Stone, Ava Stone, and Ivy John; two brothers, Rodney Benson (Sarah) and John Benson; and his companion dog, Benson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Benson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.
