Betty Gayle Wrenn Troutman went home to be with her heavenly Father on June 24th, 2025, at the age of 71. Gayle was a devoted daughter, sister, loving wife, mother, and nana. She was very loved by her friends and family.
Gayle was united in marriage to Steve Troutman on December 17th, 1977 in Mebane, NC. She spent her early adult years teaching at a private school in Person County and later worked at her husband’s dental office. She was always active within her church and community, expressing her strong faith through service. She was Trustee at her church, President of the Alamance County Service League in Burlington, delivered Meals on Wheels, and was a devoted member to her women’s circle at church. Her friends and book club members were also a special part of her life with prayer and support shared for each other.
Most of all was her love for her family. She dedicated herself to the love and care of raising her children. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She never wanted to miss a chance to be with them.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Betty Wrenn. She is survived by her husband Steve; Sons Jason (Jamie), Josh, and daughter Jordan. Her grandchildren Caden, Casey, Zaylee, Colton, Kiley, Olivia, and Brynlee; Brothers Mel (Kathy) and Mat (Pat); Nephews Daniel (Sparky) and Kyle (Megan), and Nieces Ashley (Aaron) and Banning.
The funeral service will be conducted at Graham Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Collective Burlington campus or Graham Presbyterian Church.
