Tucker Holland, a former pitcher with The Burlington School, is joining the UNC Greensboro baseball team.
That will be the left-hander’s third college since graduating from TBS in 2023.
Holland began his collegiate career at national power Arkansas, taking a redshirt season in 2024 with an elbow injury. Then he pitched last summer in a California collegiate league.
After the fall semester at Arkansas, he opted to leave the Razorbacks.
So he spent the 2025 collegiate season with Gaston College, a junior college power. With Gaston, Holland threw in nine games covering 11 innings without a decision and a 5.73 earned run average.
He didn’t join a summer club this year.
“I haven’t played at all this summer,” Holland said. “Still rehabbing my elbow.”
Siegner changes teams
Former Southern Alamance pitcher Drew Siegner announced that he’s transferring from Campbell to Longwood.
Siegner spent three seasons in the Campbell program, though he took a redshirt year in 2023. He had 52 innings of college experience on the mound.
In 2025 with the Camels, he made 18 relief appearances without a decision and an 8.09 earned run average.
Siegner, a right-hander, has two seasons of college eligibility remaining.
This summer, Siegner has been on the pitching staff for the High Point-Thomasville HiToms in the Coastal Plain League.
Siegner has pitched a pair of shutout stints covering six innings, one against the Martinsville Mustangs and another against the Forest City Owls. However, he has lost his past two decisions to drop his record to 2-4.
