STATE OF
NORTH CAROLINA
COUNTY OF ALAMANCE
IN RE: J.J.C. DOB 02/28/2026 (African American female)
TO: Jasmeka S. Corbett and Jimmy Turner
Respondent:
TAKE NOTICE that petitions have been filed alleging that the above-described juvenile is neglected.
Petitions have been filed by the Alamance County Department of Social Services. You are hereby notified to appear at 8:30 a.m. on the 7th day of July, 2026, in the Alamance County District Court for hearing on the Juvenile Petitions filed on March 5, 2026 by the Alamance County Department of Social Services.
YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED TO APPEAR on the 7th day of July, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. for a hearing on the petitions. If the Court determines that the allegations of the petitions are true, the Court will conduct a dispositional hearing to consider the needs of the juvenile and enter an order designed to meet those needs and the objectives of the State. The dispositional order may:
1. remove the juvenile from the custody of a parent, guardian, or custodian;
2. order the parent to pay child support if the children are placed with someone other than the parent;
3. place legal or physical custody of the juveniles with the parent on the condition that the parent undergo medical, psychiatric, psychological, or other treatment;

YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED to appear at the time set for the hearing upon the petition. The court could determine that you are responsible for reimbursing the State for the fees of the guardian ad Litem or attorney advocate appointed to represent the juvenile. If the Court determines that you can and should pay, it may order you to reimburse the State for such fees. If you fail to appear, the Court may enter such an order in your absence.
You have the right to appear at any and all hearings. You have the right to be represented by a lawyer at all stages of this proceeding and may hire a lawyer immediately. A lawyer will be appointed to you if you cannot pay for one and if you ask to have one appointed.
