Southern Alamance alum Evan Sykes of Greensboro College received USA South Conference’s all-academic recognition for the 2025-26 school year. His selection came with at least a 3.90 grade point average in each semester and collected what the conference called honors “with distinction.”
Sykes, a shortstop, was a record-setting baseball player for the Pride during his senior season in 2026.

Another former Southern Alamance baseball player also received USA South all-academic status. That was senior catcher Parker Evans of Methodist.
