Ryan Spadaccini (far left in cover photo) and Mike Mills (second from left in same) were sworn in on Monday as the newest members of Burlington’s planning and zoning commission.

Meanwhile, returning member Lee Roane (far right in cover photo) was reinstalled for his second four-year term on this appointed advisory board.

The oath of office was also administered on Monday to newly appointed alternate Jonathan Sanders while Jordan Britton, another incoming alternate, was absent from that evening’s regularly-scheduled meeting.

With this formality out of the way, the commission’s members went on to award their chairmanship to their former vice chairman James Kirkpatrick (left in photo below) while Charlie Beasley was tapped to take over Kirkpatrick’s old role as vice chairman (right in photo below).  Former chairman John Black ended his tenure last month, having served the maximum number of terms.
