Burlington police: Alleged robber of Select Bank arrested in Caswell County

Police have arrested the suspected bank robber who held up the Select Bank at 166 Huffman Mill Road in Burlington on Monday, July 24.  He also claimed to have left a bomb in the bank, although that threat turned out to be a hoax after the Greensboro Police bomb squad was called in to investigate and disarm the devise.

Jimmy Nathaniel Brown, 61, black, male, from Yanceyville was arrested Friday in Caswell County.  He is being held in Caswell County under a $1 million bond.

He had previously been identified when the getaway driver – Kristian Baldwin, 36, white, female, of Yanceyville – was arrested earlier this week.

Brown has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon; additional charges are likely to be filed in the coming days, according to Burlington police.

Brown also faces charges for an earlier robbery that he allegedly committed in Danville, Virginia on July 20.
