Cummings teacher Brandon Daye advances in teacher of the year competition

Brandon Daye, who teaches Sports & Entertainment Marketing at Cummings High School, was recently selected as a finalist for the 2025 Bank of America Teacher of the Year, which honors educators who make a significant impact in their classrooms and communities.

Daye attended the Sunday, October 26 game between the Charlotte Panthers and the Buffalo Bills in Charlotte as a guest of Bank of America. He received a prize package that included a Panthers jersey, autographed memorabilia, and two game tickets; the grand prize of $5,000 in classroom supplies and other gifts ultimately went to another one of the six finalists, according to Alamance-Burlington school officials.
