An employee at a Burlington car dealership has been arrested after he allegedly used a company credit card to make thousands of dollars in unauthorized gas purchases.
Jamison Antwan Jeffers was ultimately taken into custody last Thursday after the Cox Dodge dealership reported his alleged misuse of the card to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff on January 13.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators were able to ascertain that Jeffers made about $5,000 in gas purchases using the card.
A 26-year-old black male of 2714 Evergreen Lane in Burlington, Jeffers has since been charged with 12 felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense and 11 felony counts of financial card fraud. He has been placed under a $20,000 bond.
