Workmen have been finalizing the demolition of the former Shoney’s Restaurant at the corner of Maple Avenue (NC 49) and Hanford Road (2571 Maple Avenue).
The old structure, which closed in 2015, has been sitting largely vacant in the years since.
Planned for the one-acre site is a 7-Eleven with four pairs of fuel pumps.
