Eastern Alamance’s Aliya Trollinger reached the 1,000-point mark in Friday night’s 78-23 home victory against Southern Alamance.
Trollinger’s 26-point outing put her one point above the milestone. It was reached when she scored the last basket of the Mid-Carolina Conference game.
“Having confidence in my shots and knowing when to take them,” she said of the key to her offensive success.
Trollinger, a senior guard/forward, said she realized last season that she could be in line to reach the 1,000-point mark.
“My next goal is my 500th rebound,” she said.
The Eagles improved to 5-2 overall, 2-0 in the conference. Southern is 1-5, 0-2.
Southeast wins battle of unbeatens
Clara LaChapelle supplied 14 points as Southeast Alamance defeated host Cummings 55-29 on Friday night.
Shaniya Paylor and Rreanna Johnson both had eight points for the Stallions (10-0, 2-0), who held a 26-15 halftime lead.
Cummings dropped to 6-1, 1-1.
Johnson racked up 21 points when Southeast won 58-34 at Orange last Thursday night.

Western Alamance topped host Roxboro Person 52-36 with Regan Averett providing 15 points in its Mid-Carolina Conference opener Friday night. The Warriors improved to 4-1 overall.
