One of two branch offices of First Horizon bank in Graham will close this summer, according to the bank.
In a letter to customers of its branch at 1128 South Main Street, the bank says it will close the branch on July 15.
The bank’s other Graham branch, at 227 South Main Street, will remain open, according to the bank.
The 1128 South Main Street branch originally opened as the sole location of a locally-owned bank, Alamance National Bank; a later change in its charter shortened the name to Alamance Bank.
The local bank was established in 1997; groundbreaking for the bank was held in 2003, and a grand opening of the building was held in 2004.
The location has gone through several buy-outs culminating in its purchase by Capital Bank, which was subsequently bought and merged in 2017 with the current bank, First Horizon.
