Police in Burlington have apprehended a Greensboro resident after a “road rage incident” that reportedly left a 21-year-old male shot on the afternoon of December 23.
The city’s police department reports that this non-fatal shooting occurred near the intersection of South Church Street and Glenwood Avenue at about 4:15 p.m.
The victim – a 21-year-old male – was reportedly shot from a vehicle that had been following him as he tried to get away from the intersection.
Later that same afternoon, the city’s police department received a call about a hit-and-run at 522 Sellars Street, where the suspect vehicle reportedly matched the description of the car from the road rage shooting.
According to the police department, a subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 30-year-old Justice Oliver Conner of Greensboro for assault with a deadly weapon with serious injury. Conner has since been detained in Alamance County’s jail.
Meanwhile, the victim of the shooting has been rushed to an area hospital for treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds.
