Police in Burlington have arrested a pair of identical twins as well as a third suspect for various drug-related offenses after a raid on an alleged drug den took place in response to complaints from the community.
According to the city’s police department, the home at 710 Staley Street was ultimately raided on December 22 by members of the Burlington regional SWAT team as well as the Alamance Narcotics Enforcement Team – a countywide task force devoted to drug interdiction. During the course of their search, the members of the two teams reportedly found 44 grams of cocaine in the domicile along with various items of drug paraphernalia.
Based on the results of this search, the city’s police department has arrested 54-year-old twins Eric and Edward Moye for allegedly maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance. A similar felony-level charge has also been filed against 35-year-old Shaundreikas Booker.
In the meantime, additional charges have been lodged against both Booker and Eric Moye.
The latter reportedly faces a felony-level offense of cocaine possession with the intent to sell or deliver the drug while the former is accused of felony-level cocaine trafficking. Both men also face misdemeanor violations for the alleged possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the city’s police department, Edward Moye was already in custody when police raided the home on Staley Street. Since then, Eric Moye and Shaundreikas Booker have also been jailed without bond.
