Joanne Sasser Scarborough, 86, of Burlington, NC passed away the Village at Brookwood on Monday, March 24, 2025.
A native of Wilson County, NC, she was the wife of 57 years to the late Paul Eugene “Gene” Scarborough, Jr. and the daughter of Daniel Wilbert Sasser, Sr. and Annie Doris Boykin Sasser, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Front Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Waldron (Rick) and Paula Juras (David); grandson, Noah Waldron (Devyn); and two granddaughters, Jordan Waldron and Genevieve Anne Juras. She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel W. Sasser, Jr.
A service to celebrate Joanne’s life will be held at Village of Brookwood in the Gathering Place on Monday, April 7, 2025 for her family and dear friends.
