The public will take notice that the City Council of the City of Mebane will hold a legislative public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Glendel Stephenson Municipal Building located at 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following:
• Request to rezone the +/- 1.32-acre property located at 7713 US 70 (GPIN 9825532037) from B-3 to B-2 (CD) to allow for redevelopment and improvement of an existing nonconforming use by the Orange County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board c/o Tony DuBois
• Request to rezone the +/- 1.48-acre property located at S NC 119 Hwy and Millstead Drive (GPIN 9814121597) from B-2 to B-2 (CD) to allow for a multi-tenant, neighborhood shopping center with drive-through restaurant by Evans Street Four, LLC, c/o Meda Williams
• Comprehensive text amendments to the Mebane Unified Development Ordinance per North Carolina General Statute 160D and State environmental regulations, in addition to an amendment to Article 7 “Subdivision Procedures and Design Standards” to accommodate multimodal transportation
As Council meetings transition from virtual meetings to in-person meetings, citizens can provide comments via the following two (3) options:

• Conference Telephone
• In-person attendance in accordance with City Council Meeting Guidelines.
Detailed instructions for each option are provided on the City’s website, www.cityofmebane.com, under Community Spotlight titled City Council Meeting Guidelines.
A full text of the proposed amendments and maps of the area proposed to be rezoned and amended is available and can be obtained at the City of Mebane Planning Department. Substantial changes in the proposed amendment may be made following the public hearing.

Notice is hereby given to the citizens of the Town of Haw River and other interested parties that the Haw River Town Council will hold a public hearing at 6:00 pm on Monday, May 3, 2021, in the Haw River Municipal Building at 403 E. Main Street. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments regarding text amendment changes regarding compliance with NCGS 160D to the Town of Haw River’s Zoning Ordinance.
The request may be examined Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Haw River Municipal Building. The Town of Haw River Town Council welcomes participation from all its citizens. The purpose of this donation is the vehicle will be repaired by Alamance Community College and used for service training and training new law enforcement recruits. The board will also consider a donation of another surplus vehicle, a 2009 Dodge Charger VIN 2B3KA33V49H5553078 to the Town of Green Level to enhance the towns law enforcement capacity. These donations will be considered on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 2nd floor of the County Office Building, 124 W. Elm St., Graham, NC.
