ALAMANCE COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS
CONCERNING THE TIME TO MEET
TO COUNT ABSENTEE BALLOTS
On January 9, 2024, the Alamance County Board of Elections met at the Alamance County Board of Elections office located at 1128 S. Main St. Graham, NC and adopted the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Alamance County Board of Elections that:
(1) The Alamance County Board of Elections shall meet at 2:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the Alamance County Board of Elections building to count absentee ballots.
(2) Any voter of the county may attend this meeting and observe the counting, provided he/she shall not in any manner interfere with the election officials in the discharge of their duties.
(3) The results of the absentee ballot count will not be announced before 7:30 p.m. on Election day.

The public will take notice that the City Council of the City of Mebane will hold public hearings in the Council Chambers of the Glendel Stephenson Municipal Building located at 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, NC 27302, on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following:
1. Request to rezone two properties totaling +/- 1.2 acres and located on S. Third Street (GPINs: 9815913029 and 9815902977) from R-20, Residential District, to R-12, Residential District, by Holly Gilliam.
2. Request to establish R-8 (CD) zoning on two properties (GPINs: 9824530199 and 9824523988) totaling +/- 12.01 acres at 7515 Bowman Road, located outside of the Mebane Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) in Orange County, for a development of 89 townhomes by Bowman Rd 1, LLC.

The Burlington City Council will conduct a public hearing to receive citizen comments on the Draft 2024-2028 Consolidated Plan and 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan on:

The Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan specify how the City of Burlington will address housing and community needs for the next five years through the use of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
For FY 2024-2025, the City of Burlington anticipates receiving $464,182 in CDBG funds. Citizens and interested parties are encouraged to examine and submit written comments on the proposed 2024-2028 Consolidated Plan and 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Program.
A comment period will commence on March 4, 2024, and end on April 02, 2024. Copies of the report are available for review from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Burlington Planning Department, 425 South Lexington Avenue, Burlington, North Carolina, and in the City website burlingtonnc.gov under the following link https://www.burlingtonnc.gov/2061/5-Year-Consolidated-Plan. The Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan Draft is subject to revisions.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Graham City Council will hold a public hearing on a proposed ordinance to levy a 3% room occupancy tax on the rental of accommodations within Graham’s corporate limit, already subject to sales tax. This authority has been given to Graham under NC General Statutes Session Law 2023-144.
The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 6:00 pm during the City Council meeting in the Graham City Hall Council Chamber, located at 201 S. Main Street in Graham.
