ADVISORY COMMISSION POSITIONS
The City of Mebane requests interested residents of the City and extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) to apply for three positions on its Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) no later than Tuesday, January 19. The City seeks to fill a vacant at-large position, an open City position, and an open Alamance ETJ position. Applicants should be experienced and knowledgeable about bicycle and pedestrian matters, including the City of Mebane Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plan. The City desires for the BPAC to be representative of Mebane’s many neighborhoods and encourages individuals from across the City to apply. The BPAC operates as an advisory body to Mebane City Council and is served by the City’s Planning staff. Current terms expire January 31, 2021, and members will be appointed by the City Council in February 2021.

Take notice that a Petition for Adoption was filed with the Clerk of Superior Court for Gaston County, North Carolina in the above entitled special proceeding.
The Petition relates to Ashelynn Marie Stacey, a female child, born on December 2, 2020 in Chapel Hill, NC. The birth mother is Amber Marie Stacey, who is a 26 year-old Caucasian female with dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, fair complexion and a height and weight of 5’5″ and 150 lbs. Ms. Stacey is a resident of Liberty, NC, who reports that conception occurred in Liberty, NC and that the biological father is unknown. The putative father’s race is African American and his whereabouts are unknown.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that you are required to file a response to such pleading not later than 40 days from the first day of publication of this notice, that date being January January 14, 2021, and upon your failure to do so the Petitioner will apply to the Court for relief sought in the Petition. Any parental rights you may have will be terminated upon the entry of the decree of adoption.
