FOR ENGINEERING / ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
The County of Alamance, North Carolina requests letters of interest and statements of qualifications from qualified and experienced engineering/environmental firms to provide environmental services for the following project:
The management and execution of an U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfield Assessment Grant. The grant funds will be used to conduct community outreach, identify priority sites, perform environmental site assessments, and to perform cleanup planning activities to support the redevelopment of Brownfield properties in targeted areas of the Alamance County.
The County will select one or more qualified firms to retain, on an as needed basis, to perform professional services in the project area to accomplish the following work activities: environmental assessments, required award reporting, required sampling/analysis work plans, activity reports, community outreach assistance, technical consultation, risk assessments, analysis of brownfields cleanup alternative plans, other cleanup and redevelopment plans, required preparations and negotiations with the State of North Carolina Brownfield Program as needed, final project close-out reports, fulfillment of applicable federal and state regulations, writing and data collection for applications as needed, and assisting coalition partners as needed.
