Public open house and media availability June 27th with US Army Environmental Command officials regarding ongoing environmental work at the former Western Electric (TAMP) Site.
Burlington, NC. – U.S. Army Environmental Command officials will hold a Public Open House and media availability June 27 at the Fairchild Community Center 827 South Graham Hopedale Rd. Burlington, NC 27215 regarding the remedial investigations occurring at 204 Graham-Hopedale Road Burlington NC 27217.

The open house will provide the community the opportunity to gain additional information regarding the current remedial investigations at the former Western Electric (TAMP) site. This includes the current and planned activities for the chlorinated solvent investigations at the site. There will also be information provided on the site investigation that was conducted for PFAS in 2023. An area of the open house will be set up to engage community interest for participating in a remediation advisory board (RAB). The purpose of the RAB is to communicate with the local community and partner to inform future restoration decisions at the site.
