The public will take notice that the City Council of the City of Mebane will hold a legislative public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Glendel Stephenson Municipal Building located at 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following item:
Comprehensive text amendments to the Mebane Unified Development Ordinance per North Carolina General Statute 160D and State environmental regulations, in addition to an amendment to Article 7 “Subdivision Procedures and Design Standards” to accommodate multimodal transportation. Continued from the Monday, May 3, 2021 public hearing.
As Council meetings transition from virtual meetings to in-person meetings, citizens can provide comments via the following three (3) options:

RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAHAM TO CONSIDER THE PERMANENT CLOSING OF AN UNCONSTRUCTED ALLEYWAY OFF CLIMAX STREET AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City of Graham has received a petition from an adjoining property owner seeking the permanent closure of an unconstructed alleyway off Climax Street, a public street extending approximately 170 feet that is east of Buckner Street, and was never constructed nor used by the public, as proposed on or before Plat Book 5, Page 82 of the Alamance County Register of Deeds; and
WHEREAS, G.S. 160A-299 authorizes the City Council to close public streets and alleys; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considers it advisable to conduct a public hearing for the purpose of giving consideration to the closing of an alleyway off of Climax Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Graham that:
(1) A meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th day of June, 2021, in the Council Chambers of the Graham City Hall to consider the permanent closing of an alleyway off of Climax Street.
(2) The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this Resolution of Intent once a week for four successive weeks in The Alamance News, or other newspaper of general circulation in the area.
(3) The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit by registered or certified mail to each property abutting upon said street a copy of this Resolution of Intent.
(4) The City Clerk is further directed to cause adequate notices of this Resolution of Intent and the scheduled public hearing to be posted as required by G.S. 160A-299.

FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 25, 2021, Quaker Creek Farm Solar, LLC (Applicant), filed an application seeking a certificate of public convenience and necessity pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 62-110.1(a) for construction of a 35-MW solar generating facility to be located at 2850 Dickey Mill Rd, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. Applicant’s site layout illustrating the footprint of the facility may change to some degree based on government land use requirements, interconnection requirements, or similar factors. Applicant stated that it plans to sell the electricity to a North Carolina energy user or to Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC, through the Green Source Advantage Program or a similar program approved by the Commission.
Details of the application may be obtained from the Office of the Chief Clerk of the North Carolina Utilities Commission on the Commission’s website at www.ncuc.net.
If a complaint is received within ten days after the last date of the publication of this notice, the Commission will schedule a public hearing to determine whether a certificate should be awarded, will give reasonable notice of the time and place of the hearing to the Applicant and to each complaining party, and will require the Applicant to publish notice of the hearing in this newspaper. If no complaint is received within the time specified above and if the Commission does not order a hearing upon its own initiative, the Commission will enter an order awarding the certificate sought by the Applicant.

The City of Mebane requests interested residents of the City to apply for one of four positions on its Planning Board. These positions are appointed by the Mebane City Council. f. May, upon proper notice and hearing and a finding based on the criteria set out in G.S. 7B-1111, terminate the parental rights of the respondent parent.
