PUBLIC NOTICE
REQUEST FOR BIDS
Alamance County is soliciting formal bids for the renovation of an office building, (formerly a bank facility), that will house the Board of Elections. The facility is located at 1128 S. South Main Street, Graham NC 27253.
The single-prime bid method applies to this project. Sealed bids shall be hand delivered or mailed to the Purchasing Department located at 124 W. Elm Street, Graham, NC 27253, Attention: Randy Clark. Submission of bids by email is not acceptable. Bids will be received until 2:00 PM on December 12, 2022. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids submitted late will not be accepted.

The general scope of work includes all Civil, Landscaping, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Security and Communications Infrastructure systems. The project consists of renovating approximately 4,644 SF to an existing 10,643 SF construction Type IV-B Business Occupancy Building. The project also includes a 715 SF addition to infill the existing bank teller lanes with a new structure.

The cost for electronic download is free. Complete plans, specifications and contract documents are also provided to the online plan rooms of ConstructConnect / iSqFt / Carolinas AGC, Dodge Construction Network, and their affiliates, and the Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC).
Bids shall be submitted on the bid forms provided and the signature on the forms must be that of an
authorized representative or officer of the company. Two signed copies shall be included in the
envelope.

Bidders and sub-contractors must be properly licensed as may be required for this type of work in
accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
Any permits that may be required for this type of work are the responsibility of the contractor.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday November 18, 2022. The meeting will be held in Second Floor Conference Room at 1128 S. Main Street, Graham, NC 27253.
