On August 22, 2023, the Alamance County Board of Elections met at the Alamance County Board of Elections building in Burlington NC and adopted the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Alamance County Board of Elections that:
(1) The Alamance County Board of Elections shall meet at 2:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, October 10, 2023 and Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the Alamance County Board of Elections building to count absentee ballots.
(2) The results of the absentee ballot count will not be announced before 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

TO REZONE PROPERTY
The Burlington City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 7:30 PM to consider a request to rezone properties from Office Institutional (OI) and General Business (GB) to General Business – Limited Use (GB-LU). Take notice that an administrative hearing will take place at the Haw River Town Hall located at 403 E. Main St Haw River NC 27258 at 10:00 am on November 7th, 2023, regarding enforcing the Town’s Minimum Housing Ordinance against the dwelling located at 719 E. Main Street, also identified as Alamance County Tax Parcel Number# 153454. The dwelling located at the property described above has been deemed unsafe and unfit for human habitation due to abandonment, dilapidation, conditions creating a fire hazard or accident, attraction of insects or rodents, and conditions rendering the dwelling detrimental to health, safety, morals, and welfare of the residents of the Town.
