A man from Burlington has been charged with multiple sex crimes after he allegedly raped a child who had been in his custody at the time of the reported offense.
Eric Ivan Guevara Requeno currently faces four separate felonies for his alleged indiscretions, which reportedly occurred along the 1200 block of North Graham Hopedale-Road.

According to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff, deputies initially received word of the sexual assault on Friday, July 15 and immediately took Requeno into custody once he was identified as the suspect. Since then, the sheriff’s office has filed four felony-level charges against 33-year-old white male, who hails from an unspecified address along North Graham-Hopedale Road.
Among Requeno’s charges are the statutory rape of a child by an adult, the statutory rape of child aged 15 or less, and indecent liberties with a child. He is also accused of committing a sex act with a person while serving in the capacity of a substitute parent or custodian.
Requeno has been placed under a $750,000 bond since his arrest.
