A man from Mebane has been arrested for sex crimes that he allegedly committed roughly two years ago this month.
Johnny Lee Bailey was taken into custody on Thursday for these alleged violations, which were reported to the local sheriff’s office earlier that same day.
According to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff, the victim in this case has accused the 52-year-old white male of 507 Giles Street of having perpetrated the indecent acts in June of 2020. Based on this testimony, the sheriff’s special victims unit has charged Bailey with one felony count of sexual battery and two felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
Bailey’s bond has been set at $200,000.
