The 44-year-old white female had previously been arrested alongside her boyfriend Robert David King Jr., when he was taken into custody in November for the alleged sexual assault of Danese’s daughter.
Among the charges that were filed against Danese at the time was a misdemeanor count for failing to report the assault, which she reportedly ignored because she didn’t believe her daughter’s account.
Danese’s subsequent obstruction charge stems from a complaint that the D.A.’s office passed along to the sheriff’s investigators on Friday.
Danese, who had been out on bail since December, was taken back into custody based on this allegation. She is currently in jail under a $250,000 bond.
