Karen Garrison, a volunteer with the Friends of the Library, scans the shelves for mislaid books ahead of the group’s upcoming spring book sale.
This season’s sale is slated to run from March 11 to March 21 at May Memorial Library at 342 South Spring Street in Burlington. Access for shoppers will be through the library’s side entrance on Davis Street. Admission on the opening day of the sale is restricted to dues-paying Friends, although annual memberships will be available at the door at a cost of $10 per household.
Due to the recent repeal of the county’s mask mandate, face coverings won’t be required for entry during the sale. A limited number of shoppers will nevertheless be allowed inside at any one time.
All proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase materials for Alamance County’s Public Libraries.
