Amarion Richmond scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter and visiting Williams pulled out a 35-32 victory against Southern Durham in Friday night’s non-conference football game.
Andrew Cruz scored on two Dan Mahan passes for the Bulldogs (2-1), who recovered after their 28-8 lead vanished.

Three players combine for 5 touchdowns for Friday night win on the road
Richmond also scored the first Williams touchdown with a 4-yard run on the opening drive. William Overby made a 17-yard touchdown reception from Mahan and Cruz ran in from 11-yard out a shuffle pass from Mahan. The second Cruz touchdown came on a 24-yard play.
Southern Durham is 2-1.
Southern Alamance 38, Chapel Hill 14: At Chapel Hill, Nathan McNeal threw two touchdown passes and ran for a pair of two-point conversions as the visiting Patriots cruised in the non-conference matchup, taking a shutout into the fourth quarter.
Justin Donley had touchdown runs of 5 and 2 yards as part of 133 rushing yards on 15 carries. Jacob Alexander gained 75 yards on 12 attempts and made a 3-yard touchdown catch.
The Patriots (2-1) led 10-0 after recording a safety early in the second quarter.
McNeal also threw a second-half touchdown pass of 16 yards to Riley Warren. Drake Davis added an 8-yard touchdown run.
Northern Guilford 45, Eastern Alamance 14: At Greensboro, the host Nighthawks (3-0) cranked out a few long touchdown plays early in the game on the way to the non-league victory. Eastern (0-3) received rushing touchdowns from Zephaniah Gattis and Jayden Russo.
Cummings 55, Jordan-Matthews 8: At Siler City, Devin Witherspoon ran for two touchdowns as the Cavaliers picked up a Mid-Carolina Conference road romp.
Witherspoon’s 38-yard run was the lone touchdown in the first quarter. Ja’Kori McNair scrambled for a 12-yard touchdown.
Dakari Toliver picked up a blocked punt and ran about 15 yards for the next Cummings touchdown. The Jets (1-2) botched the ensuing kickoff, and the Cavaliers (2-1) converted on the next snap with Jaidyn Briskey’s 4-yard run. McNair connected with Jahsan Thompson for a 20-yard touchdown play.
Witherspoon’s 12-yard run and Amir Snipes’ 1-yard effort completed the Cummings parade of touchdowns.
Southeast Alamance 69, Chatham Central 0: At Bear Creek, the Stallions weren’t challenged in the Mid-Carolina Conference opener for both teams.
Aiden Pak ran for a touchdown and returned a fumble for a touchdown, while eight teammates also scored touchdowns for Southeast (3-0).

Landon Dodson threw touchdown passes to Bubba Sims and Cardell West. Daniel Bunker, Treygan Lucas, Ryan Dodson and D.J. Callis ran for touchdowns, while Josh Gant had a punt return for a touchdown, and Drew Easter returned a fumble to the end zone.
The Stallions led 62-0 at halftime. The Bears are 1-2.
Western Alamance 24, North Stanly 7: At New London, Jordan Hall ran for two touchdowns as the Warriors (2-1) notched a road victory for the second week in a row.
Collin Moylan also ran for a touchdown, while Noah Barrett kicked a 23-yard field goal. Ethan Oakley threw for 163 yards.
The Warriors topped North Stanly (2-1) for the second year in a row.
Bartlett Yancey 66, Graham 26: At Yanceyville, Bartlett Yancey (1-2) notched its first victory of the season in the Mid-Carolina Conference opener.
Jonathan Henry and Jamel Lee scored two touchdowns apiece for Graham (0-2).
