Several members of Southern Alamance’s Class of 2025 are signed to play collegiately at in-state schools.
That includes football player Kater Cornwell, who reported to Catawba College just a couple of days after graduation earlier this month.

Cornwell, a defensive back, said he would be involved in a summer session and football training for several weeks in advance of the official start of practice later this summer with the Division II program.
- Baseball players Noah Madren, Ethan Mann and Johnny Rojas will remain teammates at Lenoir Community College. That trio was key contributors for the Patriots’ Central 3-A Conference championship team this spring.
Meanwhile, Mark King is going to Greensboro College to play baseball.
- Softball players Abigail Holt and Maycee Tickle are heading in different directions.
Holt committed to play for Division III Meredith in Raleigh.
Tickle is going to the mountains to join Division III Lee-McRae.
- For men’s soccer, Samuel Schiller picked Montreat College, an NAIA school.
- Sarah Strickland will join the cheerleading unit at Barton College.
