Susan Wright Horne, 66, of Burlington, NC passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Robert Franklin Horne and Betty Jo Dillard Horne, both deceased. She was employed at the Alamance County Community YMCA in Burlington for 35 years. Susan was a member of the Celebration Singers. She loved to swim and travel and was an avid Tar Heel fan. She was a member of the First Christian Church United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Cindy Horne; her aunt, Pat Dillard; two nephews, Logan Barlow and Barry Barlow; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, James D. “Jim” Horne.
A memorial service will be conducted at the First Christian Church United Church of Christ on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
