William Jay “Bill” Woodrome, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 1st, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 10, 1953, in Denver, Colorado – “the happiest day of his mother’s life,” as he was fond of saying – Bill brought joy, laughter, and kindness to all who knew him.
Bill was the cherished son of Harvey and Ilo Woodrome and the loving brother of Harvey Woodrome. He shared 42 wonderful years of marriage with Laurena Woodrome, and together they built a life rich in love and family.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Woodrome and Catharine Woodrome (Brian Quinn), and his son, Michael Woodrome (Elizabeth). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Charlotte, Lincoln, Mara, Laurena, and Miller. His legacy lives on in their lives, laughter, and stories.
Professionally, Bill worked as both a newspaper Circulation Manager and a Realtor – roles that reflected his people-centered nature and strong work ethic, but it was in the simple joys of life where Bill found his greatest happiness.
He loved nothing more than spending time in local coffee shops, embarking on road trips to discover new breweries, and sharing stories and laughter with friends and family. Bill had a deep affection for animals, especially his beloved dog Brodie and cat Sebastian, whose companionship brought him years of joy and comfort.
A devoted parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church, Bill lived his faith quietly but fully, offering a kind word, a warm smile, and a helping hand wherever he went. His unforgettable sense of humor, quick wit, and ability to make even the hardest moments lighter will be missed by all who knew him.
While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life that was truly well-lived – one filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
