Tommy Cole has coached his final season of boys’ golf at Williams.
Cole, 73, retired from his basketball coaching role at Williams in the fall prior to the season.

He remained as coach of the Williams boys’ golf team through the recently completed season. It was his 40th and final season with that team, he said.
In golf under Cole, the Bulldogs won three team state championships (1995, 2000, 2011) and were runners-up seven times. Williams collected 12 regional titles and 27 conference crowns.
Cole had a basketball coaching career of more than 40 seasons. He’s a Williams alum.
