El Comando Ambiental del Ejército de los Estados Unidos (USAEC, por sus siglas en inglés) está estableciendo una Junta Asesora de Restauración (RAB, por sus siglas en inglés) en la antigua Planta de Misiles del Ejército de Tarheel (TAMP, por sus siglas en inglés), también conocida como el antiguo Sitio Eléctrico del Oeste.
El Departamento de Defensa (DoD, por sus siglas en inglés) reconoce la importancia de la participación de las partes interesadas en el proceso de toma de decisiones para el trabajo de restauración ambiental en TAMP. USAEC invita a la comunidad a involucrarse en el proceso de restauración ambiental participando en un RAB. PUBLIC NOTICE
U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC) is establishing a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) at the former Tarheel Army Missile Plant (TAMP), also known as the former Western Electric Site
The Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes the importance of stakeholder participation in the decision-making process for environmental restoration work at TAMP. USAEC invites the community to be involved in the environmental restoration process by participating in a RAB. The RAB is intended to improve public participation by involving the community in the environmental restoration decision-making process.
RAB members were selected following the kickoff meeting conducted in October 2024. A second RAB meeting will be held on December 4, 2024, from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the John Robert Kernodle Senior Center, 1535 S Mebane St, Burlington, NC 27215. This meeting will be open to the public to provide an overview of the RAB trainings and requirements, development of a mission statement, member roles and responsibilities, and RAB operating procedures.
USAEC is committed to encouraging public involvement to support the establishment of a RAB for TAMP. Pursuant to NCGS §45-21.25A, this sale may be subject to remote bids placed by bidders not physically present at the place of sale, which may be accepted by the person conducting the sale, or their agent”.
If the trustee is unable to convey title to this property for any reason, the sole remedy of the purchaser is the return of the deposit. Reasons of such inability to convey include, but are not limited to, the filing of a bankruptcy petition prior to the confirmation of the sale and reinstatement of the loan without the knowledge of the trustee.
