Patsy Marie Holt Schronce, 91, of Graham, NC passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
A native of Alamance County, NC she was preceded in death by husband Donald Wright Schronce, parents Arthur Edgar and Virginia Grace Ray Holt, loving brother Michael Kent Holt, and son-in-law Gary Dean Caviness.
Pat began working at 15 years old for her Uncle June at I. Holt Lumber weighing nails and converting material from lineal feet to square feet. An astute “numbers person”, Pat completed coursework at the Burlington Business College and began a career path that took her from the Graham Welfare Department, Burlington Engineers, Leath Hosiery/Ametek and then ultimately retiring from HUD in Greensboro, NC. She was a member of Swepsonville Baptist Church.
Survivors include Donna Schronce Dean and husband James; Diane Schronce Lepley and husband Mike; Michelle Schronce Caviness; one granddaughter, Riley Grace Lepley; step grandchildren, Jonathan Dean and wife Gina; Ricky Dean and wife Holly; Robin Dean, Kristi Wheless and husband Chris, Taylor Caviness, Clint Caviness and wife Justice, numerous step great-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham, NC on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. by Steve McGowan of Swepsonville Baptist Church with the family receiving friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park.
