Burlington’s annual Christmas parade, suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is back on for 2021. It will take place at its customary time and place – on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 20, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Burlington.
The parade will feature area school marching bands, dance teams, beauty queens, scouts, antique cars, and festive floats that will make their way along Front, Worth, Davis, and Spring streets, Lexington and Maple avenues, and then down a long stretch of South Main Street toward Burlington City Park.
The Grand Marshal for the 74th Annual Burlington Christmas Parade is Kim Black, owner of Miss Kim’s Dance and founder of the Time to Shine non-profit, according to the city’s recreation and parks department. She has taught dance in the Burlington community for over 35 years and is “honored to receive the community support and nomination to be the Grand Marshal of the Christmas Parade.”
