The sheriff’s office has arrested two teenagers, in Graham and Mebane, in separate incidents in which each is alleged to have uploaded child sexual abuse material to Snapchat.
In the first case, the investigation began in early November 2021 when investigators from the sheriff’s office Human Exploitation Team began investigating a cyber tip that child sexual abuse material files had been uploaded to Snapchat and Dropbox. The investigation ultimately led them to the Graham teen’s home.
Arrested last week was Zachary Nicholas Foushee, white, male, 19, of 6831 South NC 87, Graham. He has been charged with three counts of felony second degree sexual exploitation of a minor. His bond was set at $20,000 unsecured.

Mebane case
In the Mebane case, the investigation began in early December 2021, according to the sheriff’s office, when investigators from the sheriff’s office Human Exploitation Team began investigating a cyber tip that ultimately led them to the Mebane teen’s home.
A search warrant was issued for 3547 Brundage Lane, Mebane. Sheriff’s investigators discovered files, images, and videos of child pornography, defined as child sexual abuse material. The search was conducted Friday, February 11.
They also found a small amount of marijuana and an item of drug paraphernalia.
Charged as a result of the investigation and the search was Seth Ryan Carter, white, male, 18, of 3547 Brundage Lane, Mebane.

Carter has been charged with six counts of felony second degree sexual exploitation of a minor; one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carter has been placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
