The statewide general election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Absentee ballots will be mailed to voters who have requested them beginning September 9, 2022. A voter can fill out an absentee ballot request at votebymail.ncsbe.gov, or by filling out a request form provided by the board of elections. The request must be received through the website or by the Alamance County Board of Elections by 5 p.m. November 1, 2022.
In the general election, voters will select candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, N.C. Supreme Court Associate Justice, N.C. Court of Appeals Judge, N.C. Senate District 25, N.C. House of Representatives District 63 and District 64, N.C. District Court Judge 15A, District Attorney, Alamance County Board of Commissioners, Clerk of Superior Court, Alamance County Sheriff, Alamance-Burlington Board of Education, Alamance County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor.
The voter registration deadline for this election is 5 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022. Eligible individuals who are not registered by that deadline may register and vote at any early voting site during the early voting period. New registrants will be required to provide documentation of their residence.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The public will take notice that the City Council of the City of Mebane will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Glendel Stephenson Municipal Building located at 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, NC 27302, on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following:
