NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Graham, NC will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at Graham City Hall, 201 S. Main Street, Graham NC 27253 on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 at 6:00 pm. Meeting details may be found at https://www.cityofgraham.com/agendas-minutes/ . The Council will consider the following proposed rezoning and text amendment applications:
1. Request by Dewey Brown Jr. to rezone the property at 1528 E Harden Street, Graham NC, from the current zoning of R-G (General Residential) to a zoning of B-2 (General Business). Parcel Numbers: 152083 & 152084.
2. Request by Angela Hall to rezone the property at 128 E Moore Street, Graham NC, to remove the South Main Street / Highway 87 Overlay zoning district standards. Parcel Number: 144404.
A copy of the proposed rezoning and text amendment materials are available for review by any interested parties at the City of Graham Planning Department located at 201 S. Main Street, Graham, NC.
All persons interested in the foregoing items are invited to attend said public hearing, as changes to the revision may be made as a result of discussions at the City Council Meeting.

Mebane Fire Station no. 4
The City of Mebane is requesting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified and interested firms to provide design-build services for the Mebane Fire Station no. 4 project. Responses shall be submitted to the City of Mebane (Owner) by 3:00 P.M., Thursday, September 24th, 2026. SOQs shall be submitted as instructed in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ).
The City of Mebane seeks to construct a new approximately 10,000 sq. ft. fire station with two(2) apparatus bays, suitable living and kitchen area accommodation. The project is situated on approximately 2.2 acres of land located at Senator Ralph Scott Parkway, Mebane, North Carolina.
Access to the RFQ document for Mebane Fire Station no. 4 can be found on the City of Mebane Website.
In the interest of fairness to all submitting firms, proposals received after the scheduled receipt time stated above will not be accepted and will be marked “LATE”. All submittals received become the property of the City and will not be returned. Faxed documents will not be accepted. Early Submissions of Qualifications are welcomed and appreciated.
Design-Build Firms must be a licensed contractor in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly to the appropriate sections.
Each Design-Build Firm is required to show the ability to obtain a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
A pre-submittal conference will be held on Thursday, September 10th, at 10:00 A.M. at the Council Chambers, Mebane Municipal Building All proposers are strongly encouraged to attend.
Disadvantaged Business Participation (DBE, MBE, WBE) provisions are included in the contract. The contract is expected to be funded through local funds.
Owner reserves the right to reject any or all SOQs, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional SOQs, and to reject any SOQs if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to the corresponding Design-Build Firm. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.
