Moffitt named newest partner at Vernon Law Firm

A Burlington attorney with the Vernon Law Firm has been elevated to being a partner with the firm, it was announced this week. Formally, attorney Ryan Moffitt will become a shareholder and principal in the firm, one of the oldest and most prestigious in Burlington.

Moffitt’s areas of expertise have an emphasis on real estate development, business transactions and civil litigation. His work in these areas includes representation of residential, industrial and commercial developers before local government bodies in securing zoning and land use approvals; organization and structuring of business and real estate transactions; and the representation of individuals and commercial clients in real estate and business-related disputes.

Born and raised in Burlington, Moffitt was educated in the Alamance-Burlington School System, received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the College of Charleston, and his law degree from Elon University.

Moffitt is a member of the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Alamance County (Judicial District 17) Bar Association. In addition to his legal work, Moffitt is actively involved with a number of Alamance County community organizations.

Moffitt and his wife, Ashley, have two sons and enjoy spending their free time together playing sports and traveling.
