Woman claims to be taking photos of house; actually she and accomplice had broken into it

Deputies responding to a call last Monday afternoon about a report of a braking and entering discovered that there had, indeed, been a break-in, although the first person contacted on the scene in the 5600 block of South NC 62 claimed to deputies when first questioned that she was merely taking photos of the house.

Deputies found a car running in the driveway and ultimately located the woman and man and charged each with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering.

Arrested were Jennifer Lynne Scearce, white, female, 41, of 519 Queen Ann Street, Burlington;

and Christopher Rogers Tinnin, black, male, 41, of 2912 Crouse Lane Burlington.

Each was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
