A drug raid in Burlington has led to the arrest of an area man on multiple felony-level charges that include trafficking in both fentanyl and cocaine.
Donald Ray Harris, Jr. was taken into custody last Tuesday after officers reportedly discovered a trove of illegal narcotics within his home at 406 South Flanner Street.
According to Burlington’s police department, the 35-year-old black male faces a dozen drug-related felonies based on the results of last Tuesday’s raid. These charges include two of cocaine trafficking, two counts of trafficking in fentanyl, and one count of trafficking in either heroin or opium. Harris is also accused of maintaining a dwelling for illegal drug sales and the possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and Schedule I, II, and IV controlled substances.
In addition to these drug-related felonies, Harris faces one misdemeanor count for the possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony-level charge for the illegal possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. Court records indicate that bond has not been authorized in his case.
